I just bought this a week ago and I love it.

I am new to MagSafe and wireless charging as I had a trusty iPhone 8 Plus since launch and never used the QI charging.

What is MagSafe?
What makes an electrical cord safer for your computer is called a power source safety device (PSED). A PSED uses magnetic forces to prevent electric current from flowing through a plugged in cable.
Originally, Apple designed their own power connector for iPhones. They called it “Power Connector with Universal Plug System.” The company let other companies use that patent free so they all used the same plug. But then Amazon bought those patents to develop their Power Supply With USB Port.

That is when third-party manufacturers really took off as people made cables out of whatever materials would work best! Now you can find almost any phone or iPad charger that uses a standard mag safe cord instead of the older iPhone style.

These are good because they do not require access to an outlet which makes them more portable. Some even have built in battery packs!

Why might someone want one of these types of chargers? Well some individuals cannot easily locate an electrical socket due to poor health or disability. Or maybe there was a natural disaster and cell phones now days are very powerful so having a regular wall adapter isn’t helpful.

Magsafe comes in two versions, either plugged into a power source or cable connected. When you have both of these pieces attached, then your device can be recharged.

This includes iPhones, iPads, MacBooks, and even Apple TVs! There are some models that only have one piece though, so make sure to check before buying new electronics.

There are several different types of cables that come with your magsafe adapter. Some are flat while others stick up slightly like a antennae. You want to make sure those are solid and do not break easily.

The PowerPort connects in parallel with one or more computer ports using two discrete components — a coil and a capacitor. When you connect your MacBook Pro to a charger, the port detects the presence of this component pair and then transfers current directly from the wall socket into the battery.

This process happens very quickly (referenced at 250-350 milliamps), so users don’t feel any lag while charging. The technology also helps protect your laptop by acting like a short circuit when there are signs of damage.

Because these components can be purchased individually, people have made their own alternative cords that use similar concepts. However, none have received wide spread recognition until now.

The most common reasons people buy this product are because it does not need a cable to work, and/or it is more efficient than using a normal USB cord.

There are two main parts to a mag safe adapter: The base and the top shell. You simply place your device on the base, pull up the top shell, and it connects wirelessly!

This seems pretty straightforward, but there are some rumors about how it works. Some say that the magnets in the bottom of the base stick to a magnet in the back of the device while others claim it uses resonance waves instead.

No matter what method they use, it works by creating an electric field around the device which then gets transferred onto a separate receiver surface. Once again, it doesn’t really matter what model it is, just make sure it has a strong enough bond for all types of devices.

Okay in this video I’m going to be Reviewing a new charger airport it’s a Magsafe charger I’m not really up on the tech with Wireless charging Upgrading for my my legendary reliable IPhone 8 plus I had about five and a bit years since It was released and I’ve just bought an IPhone 12 not 12 iPhone 14 pro Um I saw that it had massive charging And I looked I was looking around us I Saw there was a there’s an option for 7.5 Watt Then there’s the other option with a 15 Volt which Chapel was selling for about 50 odd pounds I think I’ve forgotten Or this Belkin boost charge with a stand 30 pounds and some places up to 50 Pounds Um so it was on our first I thought I’d Buy and try it because I’m not really I Don’t have any other magsafe devices I’ll do a separate review on the case I Bought a Max AFK so this is my uh iPhone My iPhone Um Let me show you this first so This is in the Box 15 watt faster Wireless charging And something in French boost charge Pro Except from the picture it’s got a Little stand on there it’s quite a Little rubber

Thing it’s USBC Okay I do have a USB uh C charger Requires a 20 watt to a higher USBC Power adapter A rock power anchor 40 something was so that’s fine Made from magsafe now actually just Separately on my case but my case is Also a MAG safe it’s got a magsafe Magnet in there To offer that that’s it in the Box There’s nothing special let me just Look at the box it’s just it’s empty box That thing in it with a device in it Basic um menu Cardboard filler A warranty and stuff and then there’s This Yeah quick start guide so yeah it says Phone with magsafe cases yes Phone without Microsoft case no and dope Any Cards I assume on it Uh 27 power delivery whatever that means Yep And don’t put any Keys next to it and It’s got to stand well I just got to Stand on it The device itself now the cable foreign Apologies I had some serious audio Issues in the recording and I didn’t Notice it when I was recording So from here we want to have to do a Separate voiceover

So in this bit I was talking about how It’s compatible with the iPhone 12 Pro onwards And it’s also Backward Compatible to the IPhone 8 which I believe was the first With the key charging wireless charging Um it’s slower not magnetized I just Showed the braided cable And if the I showed correctly the stand Which I really like you can flick it out You can stand your phone The cable is around six foot which is About two meters that’s very good Um it’s an official magsafe device so You get the magsafe charging animation On your phone once you Attach it to the back of your phone And I’m just talking a little bit about How I forgot the name of the old Charging standard it was Qi or key However you pronounces it And then I just quickly mentioned that I Need to do a demo but I don’t have a Free USB port available Start to go and find a A USBC plug just so I can show you how The I’ll show you the official magsafe for Animation how it pops up highness Charging Also actually a bit of the uh the Magnetism because it is quite strong It’s good Um so yes so in the next bit you’ll see

Me go and get the plug I might have to Voice over the next bit as well But we’ll get to that Okay unfortunately I messed up the audio Again on that that bit so this in this Bit I’ll show you my little adapter so You green four port uh little power Brick thing From that quick shot you can see it’s Got four ports on it three USBC and one Usb-a The top two ports are full power you can See some of the power stats on there 65 Watt Max Um you may want to pause if you want to Read I’ll link to it down below as well Do you talk to report to full power port You can use it on MacBook and so on it’s Very powerful Um in this bit I just put the adapter Underneath the phone and I put on the Little table But I’m going to do it again so I’ll Show you the actual magsafe animation so Now I’ve just put the max save behind The phone it’s stuck on and you’ll see That’s the maxif animation I should mention I’ve got a special case On this I’ve forgotten what it’s called I think it’s a snap something case I’ll link that I’ll link to it down Below I’ll do a separate review I’ll Link to that below but you do need a Case with magsafe compatibility

To uh for it to work I’m trying to show You the stand here but I’ve got angled Little table desk thing So um it wants to want to stay stock It’s too slippery but the device the mag Safe charger is very robust it’s quite Chunky and quite solid And the stand is also pretty solid I find it very good I’ve only had it for About a week or so but so far so good Very happy with it Um I do get a very fast charge about 50 In 30 minutes I reckon so that’s good Um I like to use a wide headphone when I’m listening I don’t like the wireless Wireless headphones So with this one I don’t need to do the Dongle anymore I should put it plug the Sorry place the magsafe adapter on the Back and just plug in my normal white Headphones it works great the magnet’s Really strong and I’ve yeah I really Like this device Um you have mentioned my case I’ll link That down below and I’ll link to the Review video down below once I put it up And yeah I’m just because of this Magsafe feature I’m actually really Happy I moved from my old iPhone 8 plus Because I really like this and this uh Belkin 15 watt device is really good It’s a lot cheaper than the official Upper one the cable’s longer it’s Braided and you get a nice stand in
